We stayed here in May 2022 not for the first time either. The location is brilliant close to shops bars restaurants. The apartment is home from home it has literally everything you could need from water bottles to hair straighteners to speakers and games etc. Its a very spacious and furnished lovely. The addition of a beautiful pool is great if you don’t fancy trip to the beach.
The hosts Rosie & Michael are great too. We totally recommend this accommodation for a great holiday x
Karen and I have recently returned from a week's stay at Casa Miro. We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment, the location, and the whole week. We hired a car from Malagacar.com at Malaga airport and used it to explore various locations, using Casa Miro as a base. The apartment is easily accessible from the main street, parking is nearby. It has everything you might need, including hair dryer, straighteners, a washing machine, a supply of towels, plenty of storage space, a kitchen with plenty of utensils, a microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, a tv (which we never used - far too busy doing other things), air conditioning, a trunk full of things for the pool, and a sideboard full of stuff to keep you and any youngsters busy should you need to stay in (books, games, etc.) A well thought out 'mad drawer' includes continental travel sockets, usb chargers, spare batteries, a torch, etc. Michael and Rosie have put so much thought into making the apartment as welcoming and 'user friendly' as possible. The shared pool is very close, it is private, clean and safe. Frigliana itself is simply beautiful, it has plenty of restaurants, we had some amazing meals during our stay, at El Casino, El Mirador, The Garden Restaurant, Restaurante Virtudes for breakfasts, but there are loads of other places which we just didn't have time to try out. It is possible to walk to Nerja along the river bed, but this does include a slightly hairy section over a large boulder field, navigated via a concrete staircase with an iron post/rope handrail, so would need caution with young children. There are plenty of walks in the area, although we didn't walk too much this time around simply because the weather was a little to hot for us to do that (32/33 degrees C in June was running above average for the time of year). We did take a walk to Nerja along the river bed, as described, and found plenty to keep us busy there, again with a varied selection of eateries and tapas bars. We also walked to the lost village of El Alcebuchal, although we did drive part of the way before parking up and walking the rest of the way. The restaurant is a fabulous place to eat, with amazing views. We've read that you need cash due to the remoteness of the restaurant, but found that advice to be dated - they now take card payments with no problem. We feel that in a week we have barely scratched the surface of what it is possible to do by way of walking and wider exploration of the area. We highly recommend Casa Miro, Frigliana, and the Costa del Sol, and congratulate Michael and Rosie for hosting such a well thought out apartment.
We have just returned from 12 nights at Rosie and Mike’s apartment in Frigiliana after having to put it on hold from 2020 because of the pandemic. Rosie was very helpful and transferred the dates to this year. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need including a washing machine, iron and board, hairdryer etc.. lots of beach towels and spare towels and the bonus of aircon (which was very welcome in August) It was a short distance to the pool, which again Rosie had supplied everything we could need and was never overly busy. The apartment is ideally located for everything in the village. There are numerous excellent restaurants and bars to choose from ranging from £ to ££££ a short walk away. We didn’t hire a car as wanted to just chill after constantly working through the pandemic, so a trip to the supermarket was a bus ride into Nerja (€1.20 per person each way) There was a lovely shop ‘at the top of the steps’ where you could get fresh fruit, vegetables, cold meats, pastries, bread etc… and a small convenience store at the bottom for milk, off licence, tins etc.. but for a big shop you have to go to Nerja. There are lots of little shops selling lovely local crafts etc.. Frigiliana itself is a beautiful village with lots of steps to climb and cobbled streets to explore (you need to have a level of fitness) but It’s very, very pretty. The locals are very friendly and helpful. All in all we really enjoyed our time there and would definitely consider staying at ‘Casa Miro’ again.
We have just returned from an amazing stay at this beautiful apartment in July 2019. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a fantastic stay, it has a fully equipped kitchen should you wish to cook. There is plenty of linen/towels and the convenience of a washing machine. The pool area is lovely and even in July we had it almost to ourselves.
I cant recommend this apartment and area enough. If you enjoy beautiful surroundings, walking, cycling and eating out this is the place for you. There is plenty to do only a short distance away including Nerja for shopping and beaches and for culture Alhambra and Nerja Caves.
The apartment and area receives 5☆ from us.
We are currently staying at this beautiful apartment and recommend it very much. Right in the heart of the village it is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay easy. We would definitely come back
What a beautiful place and a great spot for our little family. Ideal for a family of 4. The apartment was lovely with access to the pool which my son still talks about jumping in and living it. Short bus ride to a wonderful beach. Really enjoyed it
A fantastic week at the apartment thank-you. A perfect location and stunning views. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed. We also enjoyed having such easy access to the pool, which made the whole experience even more relaxing.
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Mike & Rosie's lovely apartment Casa Miro in the village of Frigiliana, a beautiful Spanish village with fantastic views all around. The apartment was easy to find, only a short walk from the shops and restaurants in the village, and had everything we could need and more. We used the pool every day, which the children loved and enjoyed leisurely strolls around Frigiliana. The trip to Nerja and the Nerja caves was a great day out. We made good use of the public transport and excellent bus services. We cannot recommend Mike and Rosie's apartment highly enough and would love to return there one day.
Well we’re do I start....
Such a lovely Appartment. With everything you could possibly want.
Lovely position. Lovely clean pool just a few steps away. There’s nothing that Rosie and Michael haven’t thought off.
Thank you both .... had a fantastic holiday
Wonderful apartment with all mod cons. Fully air conditioned. Self contained and spacious, it had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Easy access to the secure entry swimming pool. Great base to explore the real Spanish countryside which is just on the southern edge of the National Park. The beautiful village of Frigiliana itself has a good variety of restaurants. Close to Nerja and its famous caves (well worth a visit). Nerja also has some lovely restaurants and shops to enjoy.
If, like us you hire a car, there are some wonderful places to visit ie The Alhambra in Granada (prebook to avoid disappointment), and of course Malaga is a short trip away. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Frigiliana.
Mike and Rosie have worked really hard to create a lovely apartment and we absolutely loved it. The apartment is safe, secure, clean and has all the facilities you need of a 'base' camp to explore the wonderful village of Frigiliana and the equally glorious surrounding countryside. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and look forward to making the trip again and again. Thanks Mike & Rosie for looking after us so well. Dirk & Judy. June 2017.
Fantastic location and apartment with only a few steps up into the old town, so no pulling your luggage to the top. Apartment is secure and safe and pool is quiet with views over the mountains. Brand new bathroom and kitchen equipped with all you need. Big main bedroom with good wardrobe space as is the second bedroom. There is a quaint patio set outside the door for those that have children in bed or to just enjoy a wine or two outside overlooking the views.
Recommend that you go and see this apartment in the lovely village of frigialana
My partner & I stayed here for 6 days in May 2016 & we thought it was exceptionally good value for money. The apartment had all everyday items we needed & more...books, games, pool etc. Great to have a washing machine so we didn't have to bother with hold luggage. Double bed was very comfy. Frigiliana is soooo beautiful but some of the steps & slopes aren't for the faint hearted. We went into Nerja a few times to go to Burriana Beach (fab) & to try out a few bars...really lovely! We hired a car so travelled around a bit. Can recommend malagacar.com at the airport (book online before you go). It cost us 49 euros for 6 days for a Fiat Panda + 69 euros for fuel. Very happy customer! Thank you, we will be back.
